On Halloween childern dress up in costumes and walk around to knock an neighbours' doors. Thay get treats and and candy from the neighbours as they guess who's under the masks. Halloween is based on many different traditions like All Hallows Eve in 800 BC, the Cletic New Year, and the festival of Samhain in honor of the Celtic lord of dead. Later it just turned into a celebration mostly for children, but also adults have started to dress up lately. Schools usually have festivities during Halloween and blocks gather to have parties. Stores and businesses also can give parties with treat and games for the children. You have to expect tricks on Halloween too as this is a part of the tradition, while some people are collecting money for poor children around the world. There are some traditions that you do on a Halloween party. Some are: play games, listen to ghost stories, enjoy snacks, and decorate their Halloween "Trick-or-treat" bag for the evening. Some symbols for Halloween is: witches flying on broomsticks with black cats, ghosts, goblings, and skeletons while black is the main color. People decorate their houses with these stuff plus pumpkins, fake spiders and spooky scenes on their front porches. Pumpkins are a big symbol for Halloween and since it is orange, that is the second main color of Halloween. You carve the pumpkins into lanterns and put them onto your front porch to lead the children who is out on "trick-or-treat". :)
